Kendriya Vidyalaya Mount Abu is runned by the
Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, An Autonomous body and
premier organization in India administering 979
schools known as "Kendriya Vidyalayas". It is
Co-educational institution with common and uniform
syllabus and pattern of education under CBSE Curriculum.
The Vidyalaya
was established in the year 1983 on the initiatives taken by the
officials of Internal Security Academy (CRPF), Mount Abu
and other establishments like Indian Air Force and Army, in
order to cater to the educational needs of the wards of their
frequently transferred employees at any time of the year. In
beginning the vidyalaya was till class V and every successive
year it was upgraded with a higher class.
