Establishing year and Motive

The Vidyalaya was established in the year 1983 on the initiatives taken by the officials of Internal Security Academy (CRPF), Mount Abu and other establishments like Indian Air Force and Army, in order to cater to the educational needs of the wards of their frequently transferred employees at any time of the year. In beginning the vidyalaya was till class V and every successive year it was upgraded with a higher class.

It was 1989, when the first batch of Secondary Certificate appeared for AISCE examination. Since then their had been no looking back. In 1991, the first batch of Senior Secondary School appeared for their first public examination.

The Beginning of Vidyalaya

The meager beginning with hardly 175 students in 1983, it has touched the strength of 600. The vidyalaya did not have a building of its own and it was being run in a hired campus of Cama Rajputana Resort. The rooms were made out of big halls of the resort by making temporary partitions using plywood sheets.

The meager beginning led to a gradual development and in 1991 a land area of 9.5 acre was allotted to the KVS by the state government and construction of it own building started. The new building near Hotel Jaal

(Hotel Aranya Village), one of the most prestigious hotel cum resort of the hill town, on the Neelkantha Road.

Present status of the building

Presently the vidyalaya building is one of the most prominent and grand building of the town and a land mark for the visitors. It has 22 rooms to be used as class rooms apart from five laboratories, which includes the well established computer labs.

Games and Sports facilities

Till the year 2007-08, the vidyalaya did not have many facilities for Games and sports, as there was little scope for developing a play ground, due to terrenes allover the open space. The students too were not able to play many out door games beside volley ball.

It was due to initiatives taken by administration that a play ground has been developed in the back area of the school building and now the ground is used for volley ball, basket ball, kho-kho, cricket, and all types of out door games.

We provide ample opportunities to the students in different indoor and outdoor games through inter school competitions, annual sports day KVS regional meets, national Meets and other related activities to the students. It helps to identify the talents of the students and nurture them.

M.P.T. and Yoga are the integral parts of our sports and games. Our motto is to make the pupils physically and mentally fit.
